- Left click on File > Page setup> select portrait(default) or landscape. Type in the numbers for changing margins. Hit OK.
- Back to text page, left click on Format--Select font (see how it looks in sample box), font style, size, color, ignore script (leave at Western), OK.
- Begin to type your document. If you do not like the settings, you can change them one at a time with the icons in the toolbar. Highlight what you want to change (left click and drag). On the far left is font, next is size, next is color, bold, italics, underline, and alignment (you might want to use a centre alignment if writing poetry, for instance.
- Type your document.
- You can view how it looks on the page. Go to File> Print Preview. If you like it, you can Print. If you don't like it, click on Close. Then edit your page until you are satisfied.
- Now you can print (File>print), and/or you can save it by going to File>Save> type Name of document> Save. You will be able to find it in My Documents.
